Terms of Service

Fontgarlic turns an image of your hand-drawn or designed lettering into an installable font family. You upload an image, our AI draws the full character set in your style, and we assemble it into font files you can download and use.

Only disconnected lettering is supported: each letter must stand on its own, not joined to its neighbours. Uploads that do not qualify are rejected before any credits are used.

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Fontgarlic runs on prepaid credits bought as one-time packs. There are no subscriptions. One font generation consumes 4 credits, and credits are only consumed when a generation completes successfully. Failed or rejected attempts cost nothing. Pack sizes give roughly ~5, ~20 or ~50 font generations; the exact number depends on how your generations go.

You must own, or have the right to use, any image you upload. You keep ownership of your artwork; you grant us permission to process it solely to build your font and operate the service.

Every font generated for you belongs to you. You may use, modify, embed, distribute and sell it, for personal or commercial purposes, forever, with no attribution required. We keep no rights in your fonts.

Fonts are generated automatically and can contain mistakes: a glyph may be misdrawn, misplaced or mismatched. Every finished font comes with a full preview and a contact sheet showing each drawn glyph next to its intended character. You are responsible for reviewing your font before using it. We do not guarantee any particular quality, accuracy or fitness for a purpose.

Do not upload unlawful content or artwork you have no rights to, attempt to disrupt or overload the service, or use it to infringe anyone's intellectual property.

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected on this page.
